The Retail Supply Chain Associate will lead the coordination and forecasting of One Acre Fund's supply across our rural retail network. You will ensure farmers can always access our products and services - at the right place, time, and price. You will work in close collaboration with the leads of multiple teams to optimize our product ordering for more than 500,000 farmers.

The Retail Supply Chain Associate will report to the Operations Lead and will help expand the retail operations from the current 10 shops up to 100+ by the end of 2020.


You will:

  • Forecast demand across our retail network, taking into consideration seasonality, geography, external events, and expansion
  • Coordinate input orders and deliveries with multiple team members, tracking the status of orders and their deliveries
  • Manage stock levels across the portfolio
  • Conduct analyses on all associated costs related to each product across suppliers, inputs, and programs and make recommendations on how to optimize each product by program
  • Conduct competition analysis on the cost of the inputs to maximize value for money
  • Provide feedback on short-term and long-term improvements.

Across all roles, these are the general qualifications we look for. For this role specifically, you will have:

  • 3+ years of experience in Retail Operations / Supply Chain Management
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Retail Operations, Supply Chain Management or similar related field
  • Experience of supply chain management and demand forecasting
  • Experience managing work across multiple sites across a wide geographic area.
