What we do

One Acre Fund works with millions of smallholder farmers to equip them with the supplies and training they need to thrive.

Putting Farmers First in everything we do

At One Acre Fund, everything we do is rooted in one simple principle: put farmers first.

How we work

For nearly two decades, we have worked alongside Africa’s smallholder farmers, creating pathways to prosperity by supporting their efforts to grow more food, increase their income and building stronger more resilient communities.

As a nonprofit social enterprise, we combine the heart of the social sector with the efficiency of business, bringing quality products and proven innovations to the last mile and scaling what delivers real impact.

Every season, we listen to farmers and adjust our approach based on what they tell us works.

Our work is centered on three key impact categories:

  • Driving productivity - Supporting farmers to sustainably increase their yields and incomes to achieve prosperity, season after season.
  • Building resilience - Supporting farmers to adapt to shocks and protect their land and livelihoods.
  • Strengthening markets - Connecting farmers to fair, reliable markets so they can earn more from what they grow.
