About One Acre Fund

Founded in 2006, One Acre Fund supplies 1 million smallholder farmers with the agricultural services they need to make their farms vastly more productive. Our 7,000+ team is drawn from diverse backgrounds and professions. With operations across six core countries in Africa, we make farmers more prosperous by providing quality farm supplies on credit, delivered within walking distance of farmers’ homes, and agricultural training to improve harvests. On average, our farmers harvest 50 percent more food after working with One Acre Fund.

About The Role

The People & Change Business Partner will model One Acre Fund values, invest in people, and engage across the team. The People Division manages the employee experience of 3,500 team members located across 50 field districts and 15 offices in Kenya. You will lead projects to inform career growth, professional development, and equity at One Acre Fund. You will report directly to the People Division Director.

Responsibilities

• Together with the leadership team, help set a clear vision for team culture, diversity, and inclusion.
• Lead projects to make One Acre Fund an exceptional place to work.
• Build organizational culture through change management and team engagement.
• Coach members of People Division to design improved employee services.

Qualifications

Across all roles, these are the general qualifications we look for. For this role specifically, you will have:

• 3+ years of experience leading people-related projects, in particular, working in a multicultural environment and driving complex change
• Leadership experience in/out of work
• Genuine passion for building organizational culture
• Bachelor’s degree
• Language: English required, knowledge of Kiswahili preferred.

Preferred Start Date

Due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic, start dates can vary significantly by role. We are adapting rapidly to Covid-19 and most of our team is now working remotely. Given the changing environment, we will appreciate your flexibility in confirming a start date. 

Job Location

Kakamega, Kenya with up to 25% remote time allocation in a location of choice
