In order to maintain One Acre Fund's ambitious growth trajectory, the New Country Expansion team has identified India as a critical country to expand to, and we have begun our pilot program in rural Bihar, India.

About One Acre Fund

Founded in 2006, One Acre Fund supplies smallholder farmers with the agricultural services they need to make their farms vastly more productive. We provide quality farm supplies on credit, delivered within walking distance of farmers’ homes, and agricultural trainings to improve harvests. We measure our success by our ability to make farmers more prosperous: On average, farmers harvest 50 percent more food after working with One Acre Fund.

We are growing quickly. We currently serve more than 800,000 farm families in Eastern and Southern Africa, with more than 7,500 full-time staff, and we aim to serve 1 million farm families by 2020.

Job Description

One Acre Fund is a growing organization; increasing the number of clients we serve in each year and the number of countries in which we operate. We started our Indian Pilot in 2018 and are continuously growing the base of farmers we serve as well as our employee count. Considering the future growth of the company we need a full time HR Admin who will be primarily responsible for:

  • Hiring and on-boarding candidates as per requirement of various departments
  • Training , development and retention of employees
  • Performance management 
  • Compensation design and salary process
  • Attendance management 
  • Preparing HR policies

We are looking at self driven, proactive candidates who can work independently without much oversight. Someone who has exposure to all the functions of an HR role will be preferred.

Specific qualifications include, but are not limited to:

  • 2 to 4  years of experience, with at least 1 year of relevant experience 
  • Well versed in excel, power point, Microsoft word 
  • Exposure to any HR management/attendance software
  • Graduate degree from a recognized institute 
  • Ability to read and write English and Hindi
