Director, World Food Programme
Angelline Rudakubana is the World Food Programme (WFP) Director, Representative to the United Nations Commission for Africa and the African Union. Prior to her appointment, Angelline was the WFP's Deputy Director of Programme and Operations in Afghanistan.
Earlier in her career, Angelline was the WFP Country Director for Burkina Faso and has served with the WFP in South Sudan, Zambia, South Africa (via NEPAD/CAADP), and East Timor—as Deputy Director. Among her many accomplishments, Angelline started a milk project, purchased from female pastoralists, for school children in Burkina Faso and the Sahel region. The programme has since been replicated in various countries.
