Smallholder farmers already have the skills, incentives, and farmland to plant trees – they lack only the supplies and specialized training to succeed. That’s why since 2019 we’ve been on a mission to equip the smallholder farmers we work with to plant 1 billion trees on farms across sub-Saharan Africa by 2030. In early 2024 we hit an incredible milestone on the road to 1 billion trees when Kenyan farmer Esther Wangari Wanjira planted the 250 millionth tree, but we still have more to do! Will you join us?
