Recruitment Fraud

Beware of fraudsters who might claim to represent One Acre Fund.

It has come to our attention that from time to time, fraudulent recruitment scams are conducted by individuals or organizations claiming to represent One Acre Fund. Please note that One Acre Fund never asks candidates to pay any money or pay for tests at any stage of the interview process.

If you are ever suspicious or observe the following warning signs, get in touch with us through our Contact Us page:

  • You are required to provide your credit card, bank account number(s), current salary or any other personal financial information as part of the job application process.
  • The open position does not appear on our website listing of job positions.
  • The contact email address contains a domain other than “@oneacrefund.org” such as  “@live.com”, “@gmail.com”, or another personal email account or has an additional letter in the address eg: “hr@oneacresfund.org”, “careers@oneacresfund.org”, “hr.oaf@careers-department.org.”
  • You are asked to apply via email, google form or a site for psychometric tests. All applications should be made via our website or our greenhouse job boards.
  • The position requires an initial monetary investment, as seen in the examples below:
  1. You receive a call and are asked to send 1500 KES through that phone number in order to get a position at One Acre Fund.
  2. You receive an email asking you to complete a psychometric test and you have to pay 140 USD for this test.
  3. You receive a call asking you to pay 1000 KES through that phone number to get a certificate of good conduct or medical test in order to get a position at One Acre Fund.
