Prerequisites for application:
To apply, the following conditions must be met:
- The SME must demonstrate active engagement directly or indirectly with a minimum of 500 smallholder farmers
- The SME must be legally registered in Uganda or Rwanda
- Has been continuously operational for at least three years within fruit tree* value chains
- The SME must be able to provide at least the previous three years’ audited financial statements
*The fruit trees we currently support financing for are coffee, avocado, chili, cocoa, fruits (passion, pineapple, mango), legumes, nut trees (cashew, macadamia), seeds (chia, sesame), spices (cloves, vanilla). This list will continue to grow as One Acre Ventures explores opportunities to extend financing in other crops.
