2024 Financial Performance
In 2024, One Acre Fund navigated a complex environment marked by ongoing macroeconomic uncertainty, climate-related disruptions, and shifting government policies. Erratic weather patterns disrupted growing seasons in nearly every country where we operate. At the same time, inflation and currency devaluation reduced farmer purchasing power.
Despite these challenges, One Acre Fund continued to scale its work. We served more than 2.1 million farmers through our Core Program, up from 1.5 million in 2023, and reached a total of 5.5 million farmers across all programs. This marks a significant step toward our 2030 vision of serving 10 million families and advancing food security across sub-Saharan Africa.

What One Acre Fund has learned five years after an infusion of $20 million in catalytic capital
Five years ago, One Acre Fund received a $20 million subordinated debt facility from a group of catalytic capital investors, including The MacArthur Foundation, The ELMA Growth Foundation, Ceniarth, Jasmine Social Investments, Netri Fundación, and A to Z Impact, and supported by a guarantee from the Ezrah Charitable Trust.
