Many farmers want to diversify into growing high-value crops as a business but struggle to access reliable and fair markets. One Acre Fund is uniquely positioned to act as the bridge between farmers and market partners through our market access work.
One Acre Fund is an agricultural service provider that supports Africa's smallholder farmers to build resilient communities.
Our mantra is Farmers First. We do this by supporting farmers to improve food production, quality, and financial sustainability to impact the livelihoods of African smallholder farmers. We support 4.8 million farmers and aim to reach 10 million by 2030.

Market access is a key component in our work supporting smallholder farmers to elevate from subsistence farming and drive climate-smart crop diversification. We do this through on-farm trainings, aggregating farmers’ harvest for processing, providing access to international markets for their produce, and negotiating exports to buyers.

Products
World-class products, grown locally by smallholder farmers across sub-Saharan Africa
We facilitate the processing and selling of macadamia directly from our smallholder farmers in Central Kenya.
Our skilled team and processing facility has a production capacity of over 6,000 tons of “Nut-In-Shell” raw material to deliver top-quality products. We work with over 10,000 farmers in Kenya to meet the macadamia demand - which is then exported to the USA, Spain, Netherlands, Poland, and China.
We are committed to delivering produce of the highest quality to our customers. Our Quality Assurance practices ensure that every aspect of our operations meets or exceeds industry standards and customer expectations.

We facilitate the processing and selling of avocados directly from our smallholder farmers in Central Kenya. With a production capacity of over 1,000 tons of avocado raw material, our experienced team focuses on delivering the highest quality products, aligned with our quality certifications.
To achieve this, we work closely with farmers by offering extension services that help them meet different certification requirements.
We currently work with 5,600 farmers certified with Global G.A.P and 2,300 farmers certified with Rainforest Alliance.
In line with this, our Kenyan program won the Global G.A.P Changemakers Award in the producers' category! This win, one of the most recognized international certifications in the food supply chain, is a testament to the work and continued support we offer to smallholder avocado farmers in finding better markets for their produce.
