Maria Shipiri is a Global HR Leadership professional with over 20 years’ experience across various industries; Telecommunications, banking, insurance, pharmaceutical, FMCG and international Impact/ NGOs.
She has held senior leadership global roles most recently as the Chief HR Officer at Prudential Africa; Organization Design and Effectiveness Consultant at Mastercard Foundation, Chief People and Culture Officer, Living Goods and Head of Organizational Effectiveness and Change for the African Development Bank in Cote d’Ivoire. She us currently an independent HR consultant. She possesses extensive expertise in organizational design, business transformation through global expansion and mergers and acquisitions (M&As), change leadership, operational effectiveness, including the development of high-performing teams, talent management, and leadership effectiveness.
She has experience at board level in non-profits – Friendship Bench Zimbabwe, and for-profit companies at Old Mutual Group, Octagon Financial Services and RFH Group Hospitals. Maria holds a masters in consulting & coaching for Change from University of Oxford/ HEC Said Business School, Bachelor of Education in French/Business studies from Kenyatta University, Higher Diploma in Human Resource Management from Institute of Personnel Management, Diploma in Executive Coaching acquired from the Academy of Executive Coaching, UK and Certificate in Organization Design from Caliber Consulting.
