Household Nutrition Expert, Rwanda Ministry of Agriculture
James Munanura is the Household Nutrition Expert for European Union-funded technical assistance to Rwanda's Ministry of Agriculture and Animal Resources. His work focuses on introducing and mainstreaming nutrition-sensitive programs to the country’s agricultural sector that will help improve household food and nutrition security. In addition to that, he is also tasked with designing nutrition interventions for two of Rwanda's agricultural blueprints: The Strategic Plan for Agricultural Transformation (PSTAIV) and the National Strategy for Transformation.
Previously, James worked as the Technical Adviser of Food Security and Nutrition at the American Refugee Committee. He holds an MSc. in Biochemistry from Makerere University in Uganda and a BSc in Food Science and Technology from Larenstein University in the Netherlands.
